The second full week of 2019 is underway. Here is a look at this week in Miami sports.

Monday January 14th:

Quiet day for sports in Miami. No teams scheduled.

Tuesday January 15th:

Miami Heat @ Milwaukee Bucks: The Heat kick off a four game road trip in Milwaukee, Tuesday night. Both teams have won three of their last five games. The Heat won the last match-up between these two teams, and look to sweep the season series.

Florida Panthers @ Montreal Canadians: The Panthers finish up their five game road trip in Montreal. The Panthers are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks and have lost five straight games. This is the first match-up between these two teams in the 2018-2019 season.

Wednesday January 16th:

No games scheduled.

Thursday January 17th:

Miami Hurricanes (WBB) @ Duke: The Lady Canes look to continue their success this season. The Lady Canes are coming off a tough loss to Clemson. The Duke Lady Devils will be looking to pick up their first conference win of the season.

FAU Owls @ Marshall: The Owls are coming off a 65-60 loss to the now 4-11 Charlotte 49ers. The Owls are currently 2-2 in conference play. Marshall is undefeated in the C-USA portion of their schedule and look to continue the trend at home.

FIU Golden Panthers @ Western Kentucky: The Golden Panthers are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Old Dominion at home on Saturday. The Panthers are also 2-2 on C-USA play. Western Kentucky is sitting at an even .500 on the season, however they are only 1-2 in conference play.

Friday January 18th:

Miami Heat @ Detroit Pistons: Miami’s second game of a four game road trip. Miami looks to take the season series. The Heat won the last match-up back in November 120-115 in overtime.

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs: The Panthers return home for a quick game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Panthers were blown out 6-1 in the previous match-up between these two teams. Florida looks to split the series.

Saturday January 19th:

Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tar Heels: The Canes host the 13th ranked Tar Heels at home. North Carolina is 4-1 in their last five games, whereas the U is only 2-3. Miami won last year’s match-up in Chapel Hill, 91-88. This game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

FAU Owls @ Western Kentucky: The Owls look to continue their impressive season against an average Western Kentucky team.

FIU @ Marshall: As of this article, Marshall has yet to lose in C-USA play this season.
