The Marlins have recently been busy on the international free agent market. This past week the Marlins used up the rest of their international bonus money on three prospects from the Dominican Republic. Guillermo Ramirez, Ivan Perez, and Mario Doble.
All three of them happen to be pitchers, one left-handed and two right-handed.
Let’s take a look at the three newest Marlins!
Ramirez is an 18 year old, 6’2, 180 pound right-handed pitcher who was recently assigned to the GCL Marlins after his signing with the club. There isn’t any stats to state for Ramirez but just by his measurements, he has good projections to be a successful pitcher.
If you thought the potential was high for Ramirez above, then get a load of this. Perez is a 17 year-old, 6’6, 200 pound left-handed pitcher who was recently assigned to the DSL Marlins. There are also no stats to state for Perez but it doesn’t even matter, just look at his size and left-handedness to get an idea of his potential.
Insane for a kid who just turned 17 at the end of August last year.
The last but certainly not the least of the three recently signed Marlins prospects out of the Dominican is Mario Doble. Doble is an 18 year-old, 6’1, 195 pound right-handed pitcher. Once again, another prospect with a high ceiling and whose size can give readers an idea of what he could be capable of without stating his stats because once again, there are none to state unfortunately.
The main purpose of this article was to inform Marlins’ fans of the recent international signings that the club has performed in the past week, it was given very minimal coverage due to the limited information out there on the prospects themselves.
