Can you believe spring training is almost over?

As I sit here the Marlins have two spring training games left. One game Saturday the 23rd, and one game Sunday the 24th. I know, I can’t believe it either. Do you know what the end of spring training means? The start of the regular season! I wrote about how the two-game series in Japan made me ready for the season to start. Let’s just be honest with each other, I’ve been ready for baseball to be back since the end of the World Series.

I feel like I’ve written about spring training a lot. Honestly, I feel like it’s been longer than a month. But that doesn’t matter because it’s almost over. I feel like I can smell the freshly cut grass of the field. I can hear the fans screaming. And of course, I can hear the crack of the bats. This article is one of those where I am just so excited that I need to write. I want you guys to feel the same way I do.

2019 is approaching quickly

I had no plan when I started writing this article. However, the Marlins will be playing in Marlins Park in less than a week. If you weren’t excited for the 2019 season to start, then I’m not sure I’ll be able to get you there. But I’m going to try.

The Marlins open up the season with a seven-game home-stand. First is a four-game series with the Colorado Rockies and next, it is a three-game series with the New York Mets. The Rockies series is kind of important if you are a bigger baseball fan. The Rockies come to Miami just once this season, and that is the opening series. Which means if you want to go watch any of the Rockies players play, you have four opportunities.

2019 will be the first season where I will be writing about the Marlins for MSW, and I could not be more excited. I have some big plans for this season. The first will be a season preview that will come out this week before the season starts. The second will include a series preview for the Rockies series. If you ever have anything you would like to see me do, just let me know!
